Erika + Matt

Early spring flowers enthusiastically greeted Matt and Erika on their wedding day. The bright yellow flowers were some of the first to arrive this spring and they arrived in full force to join us on this happy occasion.

Surrounded by family and friends, the entire day was filled with an electric energy. Any time Erika and Matt laughed, and they laughed often together, it rippled throughout everyone around them. Their love was infectious.

For me, the biggest creative surprise of the day was the retro architecture of the church interior. Initially, the windowless sanctuary made for a bit of challenge but once the lights were off, two very thin tall windows brought an exciting sense of drama to the space. With the wedding attendees off to the reception, Erika and Matt were (mostly) alone for the first time as a married couple. In this intimate moment, the simply lit space singled out their new partnership beautifully.

Congratulations to you both!
